Job Summary
**TEMP TO PERM POSITION**
The Company is seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable clerk that will be responsible for processing invoices received for payment and providing assistance with clerical and administrative duties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Scan and validate vendor invoices using Kofax scanner and software in an accurate and timely manner
- Participate in month-end close of A/P module in a timely manner
- Process PO invoices in ERP System by matching invoices against outstanding goods and service receipts
- Process employee expense reports
- Monitor the A/P e-mail inbox and mailbox to ensure completeness of scanned vendor invoices
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Monitor vendor master information and prepare requests to edit/update as needed
- Provide A/P support to internal and external clients, as needed
- Match all checks to invoices and adhere to any special mailing instructions
- Work with Accounting department on various tasks and projects, and assist with resolution of undetermined issues.
- Other duties, as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
- Minimum Required: High school diploma
- Minimum Required: 2 years administrative experience
- Preferred Level: Some college
- Preferred Level: 5+ years of administrative experience with 2+ years AP experience
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Process strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines
- Thorough knowledge of applicable A/P system procedures
- Solid computer skills including proficiency in Word and Excel
- SAP experience a plus
HSE Roles and Responsibilities
Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
