Position Description

The Position will lead the Procurement organization across the entire  organization, including all business units and locations, for all direct and indirect sourcing and procurement. This responsibility includes strategic vision, operational planning, and execution. The  Director of Procurement will lead a team of  of buyers, warehouse staff and contract analyst,  within the operational and project locations with numerous matrix relationships. The  Director of Procurement is the supply management partner for the business, responsible for sourcing and procurement processes, systems, and results across the  organization, to include strategy development and implementation, common process definition and deployment, procurement organizational development and leadership, delivery to support the company‚Äôs business model, strategies, and financial operating plans. The  Director of Procurement is directly responsible for material and services availability, direct savings, supplier development and performance, including quality and lead time reliability through effective warehouse and inventory control processes.

Essential Functions & Duties/Responsibilities

Special projects

Manage the implementation and ongoing support of  the CMMS (SAP) solution for the corporation inclusive of all business functions, but with special focus on financial performance accounting and monitoring and operational readiness for liquefaction.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
Minimum Required:  BS/ MBA, Management or related fields
Preferred Level:         BS/MBA specializing in Materials Management, CPM

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Minimum Required:   Fifiteen years of Oil and Gas industry experience in commercial functions related supply chain, projects, construction and all operational areas (warehouse/inventory control)

Preferred Level:          Ten plus years LNG industry experience in commercial areas; ten plus years supply chain and projects management 

Skills Required            

High proficiency in the following areas: Negotiations, Relationship-building, Deal-closing, Project management, Communications, Teamwork, Planning and organization, Systemic thinking, Problem-solving, Coaching and mentoring, Cultural diversity, and Safety.  Extensive decision-making authority regarding design and implementation of contract administration system, compliance procedures and special project management.

Financial Authority

As specified in the FLNG Authority Limits.

Key Relationships within and outside the Company

Internal:   SVP-Operations and Projects, SVP-Legal and General Counsel, VP and Controller, Maintenance/Procurement Manager, VP-HR, President, & CEO

External:  Contractors and suppliers of all materials and services

HSE Roles and Responsibilities

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.  Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies.  Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility.  Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
