This position's primary duty is to manage critical systems directly related to Freeport LNG process control system network. The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual is accountable for Windows and VMware systems that support a process control infrastructure; VMware and Windows and Application systems that support Asset Management; Responsibilities on these systems include engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.

Essential Functions & Duties/Responsibilities
•Provide technical support as well as hands on support for the Control systems team on day to day operations of the Process Control Systems.
•Install new and maintains existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
•Accountable for providing specialized services for the Honeywell DCS system and other automation systems associated with the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility.
•Accountable for managing MS Windows servers (DCS), including Database, Files, Applications, Printers, and DCS Workstations.
•Accountable for managing new virtual infrastructure.
•Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
•Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
•Responsible for maintaining network efficiency and ensure that the design of the Process Control System allows all of the components, including computers, the network, and software, to work jointly.
•Cross trains new employees and existing employees with lessor experience.  
•Monitor and maintain the distributed control systems asset inventory, access controls, and network protection methods to prevent Cybersecurity threats from affecting the FLNG Re-Gas and liquefaction facilities process and safety systems. Coordinate any identified threats or changes with the Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security Response team.
•Accountable for maintaining records and documentation systems for regulatory compliance associated with field instrumentation and automation systems.
•The employee must have the ability to drive a motor vehicle in order to perform the duties required at all FLNG locations.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
Minimum Required: 
 
•High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
•5-10 years of system administration

Preferred: 
•Associates/Tech. Degree in Computer Networking or similar
•Process Control System experience
•Windows certifications including MCSE, MCSA

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
•Strong knowledge in Microsoft domain model and TCP/IP
•Experience in implementing network management solutions
•Must possess a working knowledge of virtualization infrastructure
•Familiar with the installation and support of Cisco switches including Nexus and Catalyst
•Experience in monitoring asset performance and utilization, allocate resources as needed
•Good written/verbal technical communication skill
•Good analytical problem solving skills, including root cause failure
•Active learner
•Self-starter/motivated
•Strong, troubleshooting/analytical skills
